Terms and Conditions

On receipt of payment a contract has been entered into between you, the passenger, and Discover Ballooning.

Discover Ballooning warrants that it is insured in accordance with Regulation 5 of the Domestic Air Service Regulations.
Discover Ballooning, nor any of their officers, agents, employees, organizers and helpers shall not, in any circumstance whatsoever, be liable for any loss or damage to property, and/or injury to any person, or death of any person from any cause whatsoever and, without in any way limiting or affecting the generality of the aforegoing, whether or not such a loss, damage, injury or death is occasioned by the fault or negligence of the operator, any of the officers, agents, employees, organizers and helpers and/or occurred while the balloon was tethered, being filled, taking off, landing, or in flight, whilst undergoing inspection or retrieving.
The passenger hereby indemnifies the operator, their officers, agents, employees, organizers and helpers, against any claim of whatsoever nature which may be made against the operator, their officers, agents, employees, organizers and helpers, by the passenger and/or any person whomsoever for any loss of or damage to property, or injury sustained by any person or death of any person, notwithstanding that such loss of or damage to property, or injury to person or death of any person may have been occasioned by the fault or negligence of the operator, and/or any of the parties referred to above.
The operator indemnifies the passenger against any damage which the operator and its servants or agents may suffer through the any act or omission of the passenger howsoever caused.
This contract is valid only for the date specified therein, unless as may be mutually agreed upon by the respective parties.
The operator undertakes to use their best efforts to carry the passenger and its baggage with reasonable dispatch.
The operator reserves the right to refuse carriage to any person who has acquired a ticket in violation of the operator’s tariffs, rules and regulations.
The conditions of carriage may not be altered, modified or amended or any provision be waived by any servant, agent or representative of the operator.
Should the flight be cancelled due to bad weather (this is for the safety of the passengers, pilots and crew members), and you choose to cancel your booking and not reschedule, Discover Ballooning reserves the right to deduct a 10% cancellation fee from your refund to cover expenses.
If the passenger cancels the flight within 7 days prior to a flight, the deposit is forfeited.
If passengers do not show up for a flight on the day or are late, they are liable for the full amount of the flight.

General Terms & Conditions:

Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Passengers must be able to climb in and out of the basket unassisted.
Children must be at least 1.2m tall to see over the edge of the basket.
Pregnant women may not fly.
Discover Ballooning reserved the right to launch from an alternate venue if necessary.
Discover Ballooning reserves the right to fill baskets at their discretion.
Passengers are required to sign an indemnity before the flight.
Passengers are required to declare any pre-existing medical conditions when making a booking.
An invoice or proforma invoice will be mailed upon request.
